This release window brings major platform improvements across BlueHive, BlueHive Employer, and BlueHive Provider. Highlights include a refreshed UI and UX across key experiences, stronger SEO and marketing-site performance, deeper employer customization tools, better provider workflow visibility, and expanded AI collaboration and notification features. Together, these updates focus on making BlueHive faster, clearer, and easier to use for employers, providers, and internal teams alike.
Overview
For Employers
Department-Level Permissions — Admins can now create and manage departments, assign users to specific departments, and restrict what each user can see and do - so a manager only sees the employees and orders relevant to them. Why it matters: Give the right people access to the right information - without having to manage every order yourself.
Branded Employer Emails — Upload your logo, set your brand color, and preview how emails will look before they go out. Notifications to employees now look like they're coming from you - not an unfamiliar platform. Why it matters: Employees are more likely to act on communications they recognize and trust. Keep your brand front and center throughout the compliance process.
High-Priority Order Flagging — Mark an order as high priority when you place it. The concierge team is alerted immediately, and the provider sees a clear priority indicator on their end. Why it matters: When timing matters - reasonable suspicion screens, last-minute starts - everyone involved knows it's urgent from the moment the order is placed.
Order Due Dates — Set a due date on every order. Defaults can be configured to your preference, or you can require a manual date selection for every order to make sure nothing slips through without a deadline. Why it matters: Keep your team and your providers aligned on exactly when results are needed - no follow-up calls required.
Cleaner Order Lists — Canceled orders can now be hidden with a toggle so they stop cluttering your active order view. Stale accepted, completed, and pending orders are also automatically cleaned up. Why it matters: Focus on what needs action today - not what's already done.
Duplicate Employee Detection — When importing employees from your HRIS or via CSV, BlueHive now identifies potential duplicates and prompts you to reconcile them rather than silently creating a second record. Why it matters: Keep your employee records clean and accurate, even when syncing from multiple systems or during HRIS transitions.
Random Selection Now Excludes Inactive Employees — The random selection tool for drug testing programs no longer includes inactive employees in the pool. Why it matters: Your random testing program stays compliant and credible - only active employees are ever selected.
Notification Bell — A notification bell is now available inside the platform so important order updates surface in real time without having to dig through email. Why it matters: Stay on top of new orders and updates the moment they happen - right inside the platform.
For Providers
Priority Badges on Orders — High-priority orders are now visually flagged on the provider side so urgent cases are easy to spot at a glance. Why it matters: Quickly identify which orders need immediate attention and keep time-sensitive cases moving.
Due Dates Visible in Referrals — Providers can now see the due date associated with an order directly in the referral view. Why it matters: Know exactly when results are expected so you can plan accordingly and flag potential delays early.
Bulk Service Editing — Providers can now update multiple services at once instead of editing them one by one. Why it matters: Keep your service list accurate with less effort - update hours, availability, or offerings in one action.
Across the Platform
Mobile-Friendly Experience — The platform layout, navigation, and key experiences have been updated to work better on mobile devices. Why it matters: Place orders, check status, and manage your workflow from wherever you are - not just your desk.
Improved Login & Two-Factor Authentication — Login flows and two-factor authentication now work better with password managers and standard autofill tools. Why it matters: A faster, smoother login experience that works the way your team already works.
